Liturgical Ministries

Altar Server
|
The altar servers help to serve at God's Altar during the mass. This is the first ministry that allows the youth of our parish to get involved in the workings of the church. Servers learn the importance of commitment and sacrifice that are needed to meet their schedule obligations. Children are eligible when they enter Grade 4.

| Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Classes begin in the fall and go to Easter Vigil. For anyone who needs the Sacrament of Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation or anyone who would like to become Catholic. Want to learn more about your Catholic Faith? |

Help provide and place decor at both worship sites during the liturgical season and year.

| Eucharistic Adoration |
Every first Friday of the month we have adoration of the Blessed Sacrament after the 8:00 am Mass located at the St. Augustine Campus site. It concludes at 9:00 am. Come spend an hour with Jesus.

| Responsible for the cleaning of the altar linens, keeping the main altar clean, and inserting new candles in the holders. |

| Bereavement Ministry |
Individuals will work with Father Dan in aiding the bereaved families in providing and planning the Funeral Mass. Also they will help in follow up after the death of a family member.

Bereavement Luncheon Volunteer
|
For the family of the deceased; we have three teams who will shop, prepare, cook, serve and clean up after a meal is provided.

| Gardeners for Jesus |
| Help around the two worship sites planting, weeding, watering and more! Bloom where you are planted for Jesus. |
|
| Hospitality |
| Takes place on the third Sunday of each month at both worship sites. Responsible for ordering and picking up donuts, rolls, juice and milk. Also includes setting up, making coffee, hot water for tea, and clean up after everyone is gone. Turn in receipts to the rectory and you will be reimbursed for all. |

Pro-Life
|
To educate our parish on all Life issues and help coordinate special diocesan events for our parish.
|
|
Youth Ministry
|
| To have weekly meetings in providing our young people with spiritual nourishment and community service projects in collaboration with the Diocesan Youth Organization. |
|
Men for Jesus
|
The Catholic Diocese offers monthly meetings at different Parish locations. A speaker, confession and Mass usually comprise the evening event.
|
|
Housekeepers for the Lord
|
This group will aid in keeping out worship sites clean and tidy.
|
|
Rosary Group
|
| Meets once a month at a parishoner's home at 7:00 pm to recite the Rosary. |
|
Bible Study
|
| Deacon Bob leads a bible study after the Monday 8:00 am Mass. |
|
Prayer Group
|
| Meet at home of parishioner for intercessory prayer. |
|
Christian Mothers
|
| To have yearly fundraisers for the benefit of the local poor and needy. Assist, wherever they can, with parish expenses such as major repairs and fuel assistance in the winter months. Help to provide, assist or outreach to young mothers. |

St. Monica Guild Campus Site
|
| To clean the Altar, altar clothes and provide new purificaters. Attend Funeral Wakes and provide Bereavement Lunches. User fundraiser monies for the purchase of Christmas and Easter flowers. To do the Corporal and Spiritual works of mercy. |
